Last updated: September 2026 — applies to StudCollector and other Tincup Studios apps unless a specific app states otherwise.
Tincup Studios (a DBA of Aspen Sky Technologies) builds small, independent apps. This policy explains what happens with your data when you use them.
We don't collect your data. There's no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no account to create. Your collection data lives on your device and, if you choose to enable it, in your own personal iCloud account — never on our servers, because we don't have any.
Everything you enter — sets, minifigures, parts, photos, notes, and so on — is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device data framework. If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, that same data is also stored in your personal iCloud account, using Apple's private CloudKit database, so it can sync across your own devices. We do not have access to your iCloud data — only you and Apple's infrastructure do, under Apple's own privacy practices.
You can turn iCloud sync off at any time in Settings. Turning it off does not delete data already in iCloud — you can manage or delete that separately through your device's iCloud settings.
Some apps let you optionally connect your own account/API key for services like Rebrickable, Brickset, or BrickEconomy, to look up official set or part information. When you use these features, your device talks directly to those services using your own credentials — we don't see, log, or relay that traffic. Each of those services has its own privacy policy governing what they do with requests made using your key.
If an app requests Camera or Photo Library access, it's solely so you can attach your own photos to your own records. Those photos are stored the same way as everything else — locally, and in your iCloud if sync is enabled. We never receive copies of your photos.
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, we'll update this page. Since we don't collect contact information, we can't notify you directly — check back here if you're curious.
